Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move freight, materials, and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of stock by performing cycle counts and organizing storage areas to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company standards and are free from damage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including packing slips and shipping logs, using warehouse management systems.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams to streamline warehouse processes.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various warehouse environments.
- Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to read and comprehend safety guidelines and operational instructions.
- Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
