Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move products using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to ensure accurate inventory placement.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels by conducting regular cycle counts and recording shipments and receipts.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of handling equipment to ensure they are in safe, working condition and report any issues immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare and package customer orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized and free of hazards to maintain a high-efficiency work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Training: Possession of a valid Forklift Operator Certification is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and processing paperwork.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively with team leads.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
