Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials and merchandise using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify and count stock items against purchase orders and warehouse records to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards, warehouse protocols, and company regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure efficient workflow during night operations.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate logs, delivery sheets, and inventory reports on time.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Schedule: Must be available to work Night Shift schedules (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly over an 8-hour shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, safety, and quality control.
