As an Order Packer, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and efficiently for delivery.
Responsibilities
- Pick and Pack Merchandise: Retrieve products from shelves or bins based on digital pick lists and pack them securely into boxes or containers.
- Labeling and Documentation: Apply correct shipping labels, barcodes, and documentation to ensure accurate tracking and delivery.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate handheld scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage and ensure packaging meets quality standards before shipment.
- Inventory Maintenance: Keep workstations organized and assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret pick lists, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
- High School Diploma: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for inventory counting and weighing packages.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance record with a willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Forklift Certification: (Preferred but not required) Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment.
