Responsibilities
- Lead overnight team of 8-12 associates in high-volume order fulfillment and inventory control
- Implement and monitor OSHA safety protocols for material handling equipment operations
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency during off-peak hours
- Conduct daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in real-time inventory systems
- Train staff on new technologies including WMS software and automation equipment
- Coordinate cross-functional handovers with day shift teams for seamless operations
- Generate performance reports and recommend process improvements to management
Qualifications
- 3+ years warehouse management experience with overnight shift leadership
- Forklift certification and proficiency with pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers
- Advanced knowledge of WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to make critical decisions under pressure
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training credentials
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for 8+ hours during overnight shift
- Experience managing unionized teams (UAW experience a major plus)
