Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred) while adhering to weight limits.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check and record incoming and outgoing inventory within the cold storage facility.
- Temperature Control: Monitor storage unit temperatures regularly to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace to ensure optimal workflow.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of warehouse equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in a cold environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to track inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
