The Role
As a Part-Time Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that inventory is moved accurately and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse facility.
- Ensure the safe and accurate stacking of products to maximize storage capacity and prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Maintain precise inventory records by logging all movements and stock transfers accurately.
- Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management to coordinate daily logistics.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator license (OSHA compliant) required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended shifts.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging inventory and operating warehouse management software.
