Responsibilities
- Operate Machinery Safely: Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy: Assist in stock verification and ensure accurate recording of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Perform Pre-Shift Inspections: Conduct thorough daily checks of forklifts to ensure they are in safe, working condition before use.
- Organize Warehouse Space: Stack and arrange products neatly to optimize storage space and facilitate efficient retrieval.
- Adhere to Protocols: Follow all OSHA guidelines and company policies regarding material handling and workplace safety.
- Keep Area Clean: Maintain a tidy work environment, including sweeping and organizing aisles to prevent hazards.
- Communication: Coordinate with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow during shifts.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Forklift License) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and precision in handling inventory.
- Reliability: Must have a consistent work history and be punctual for scheduled shifts.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for driving to and from the facility.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify potential safety issues and report them immediately.
