Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts for any mechanical issues before operation and report maintenance needs immediately.
- Organize and stack inventory with precision to ensure accurate stock levels and space optimization.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
- Assist in the preparation of orders and palletizing products for shipment.
- Perform routine cleaning of the warehouse floor and equipment to maintain operational standards.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding inventory discrepancies or operational bottlenecks.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (OSHA 10 or equivalent certification required).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Chicago facility.
