Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and stack materials safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in inventory counts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workspace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and organize stock in designated areas.
- Communication: Collaborate with team leads and other warehouse staff to coordinate workflow and resolve logistical issues.
Qualifications
- License: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven warehouse surfaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and handling merchandise.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable work history and be punctual.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors.
