Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move inventory within the warehouse.
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Inventory Accuracy: Assist in receiving, counting, and stocking materials to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Care: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear and organized to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, current forklift operator license (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not strictly required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and tagging items.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends or nights.
