Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Picking & Packing: Accurately pick orders from the warehouse floor and package them for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Equipment Care: Perform routine inspections of handling equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs and reports regarding inventory movement and operational issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven warehouse surfaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and processing paperwork.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Availability: Must be available to work varying shifts, including weekends or nights as needed.
- License: Valid driver's license and forklift certification (if applicable) are a plus.
