Responsibilities
- Pick and Pack Orders: Accurately retrieve merchandise from storage areas and pack it into boxes for shipment, ensuring all items are securely wrapped and labeled.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts by scanning items and updating inventory systems in real-time.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate handheld scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if certified) to move materials around the warehouse.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before packing and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the packing stations and aisles clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Adherence to Safety: Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail stocking is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus and maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills to understand pick tickets and safety documentation.
