Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research strategies aligned with 2026 technological milestones
- Lead a team of 15+ quantum physicists and software engineers in algorithm development
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum innovation projects
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually on quantum error correction and scalability
- Collaborate with C-suite to commercialize quantum solutions for Fortune 500 clients
- Develop patent portfolios protecting quantum IP with 15+ new filings annually
- Establish industry standards for quantum safety protocols post-2025
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 8+ years of quantum computing research with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction, topological qubits, and fault-tolerant systems
- Track record of securing $3M+ in research grants
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit) and HPC environments
- Experience transitioning research to commercial quantum applications
