Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms optimized for NISQ-era hardware
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to implement quantum error correction protocols
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Present findings at global quantum summits including IEEE Quantum Week
- Drive patent strategy for quantum computing intellectual property portfolio
- Mentor PhD interns from MIT, Stanford, and Caltech quantum programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing government/industry research funding
- Strong background in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
