Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware systems
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for advanced projects
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
- Optimize qubit stability and error-correction methodologies
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid models
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding (NSF, DOE, etc.)
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
