Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research initiatives to improve qubit coherence times and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at major quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing educational initiatives
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies for commercial applications
- Secure external funding through competitive research grants and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar frameworks)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information science
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing systems
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
