Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments on our D-Wave and IBM quantum systems
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science divisions
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Patent breakthrough quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing/gate-based systems
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier physics/computing journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
