Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 100+ qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction and coherence enhancement
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Translate theoretical research into practical quantum computing solutions
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage government/industry research partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum simulation tools
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proven ability to lead complex research projects with measurable outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
