Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected quantum systems
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications for 2026 industry needs
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present at international quantum conferences
- Develop quantum simulation tools for commercial clients in finance and healthcare
- Mentor junior researchers and manage cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with Qiskit/Cirq
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants from NSF or DARPA
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
