Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum machine learning methodologies
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
