Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum machine learning and generative AI
- Design neural architectures for human-AI cognitive augmentation systems
- Develop ethical governance protocols for autonomous decision-making frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish in top-tier journals (NeurIPS, Nature AI)
- Translate theoretical models into production-ready quantum-optimized algorithms
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Cognitive Neuroscience
- 5+ years of applied research in quantum computing or neuromorphic systems
- Published work on transformer architectures or quantum neural networks
- Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow Quantum, and D-Wave APIs
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with federal grant proposal writing and compliance
- Track record of translating research to commercial AI products
