Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized goods with millimeter precision
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs immediately
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems and barcode scanners
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company material handling procedures
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize dock schedules and turnaround times
- Train junior operators on safe equipment operation and warehouse best practices
- Participate in monthly safety drills and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-approved forklift certification with 3+ years of industrial experience
- Proven ability to operate multiple forklift types (electric, propane, reach trucks)
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification required
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varied temperatures
- Strong attention to detail with zero tolerance for safety violations
- Valid California driver's license and clean MVR record
- High school diploma or equivalent required
