Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts to move pallets, materials, and finished goods efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate inventory counts using warehouse management systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company procedures
- Coordinate with receiving/shipping teams to optimize workflow
- Train junior operators on equipment operation and safety standards
- Implement lean inventory practices to minimize waste
- Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification with 3+ years of recent experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety excellence
- Experience in temperature-controlled environments preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
