Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in compliance with OSHA standards
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Manage inventory using RF scanners and maintain accurate warehouse documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize storage and retrieval workflows
- Train junior operators on safety protocols and equipment operation
- Implement lean principles to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Valid OSHA Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proven ability to read and interpret warehouse maps, inventory labels, and shipping manifests
- Strong understanding of weight distribution and load balancing principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams
- Basic computer literacy with experience using warehouse management systems
