Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and maintain accurate records of stock locations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and reporting any mechanical issues or damages immediately to the maintenance department.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with speed and precision, ensuring correct labeling and packaging standards are met.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly workspace, including keeping aisles clear and floors free of debris.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CDL Class A/B not required but preferred for specific roles).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and comprehend shipping labels, purchase orders, and inventory logs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and attendance.
