Responsibilities
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) with 100% compliance to OSHA standards
- Optimize warehouse inventory flow using WMS systems to maintain real-time accuracy
- Coordinate cross-functional team activities for seamless dock-to-stock processes
- Execute quality control checks on incoming/outbound shipments
- Maintain 5S workplace organization standards across 50,000 sq ft facility
- Lead safety training sessions for new material handlers
- Implement lean material handling techniques to reduce waste by 20%
Qualifications
- 3+ years of high-volume warehouse/material handling experience
- OSHA forklift certification and hazardous materials handling training
- Proficiency with WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly with proper technique
- Strong analytical skills for inventory discrepancy resolution
- Forklift/Pallet Jack operator certification required
- Experience with cross-docking and JIT inventory systems
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
