Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Shipping and Receiving: Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and quality control checks.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse tidy and organized, adhering to 5S standards to maximize efficiency and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Material Handling: Load and unload trucks, palletize products, and prepare materials for production or distribution.
- Reporting: Document daily activities and report any equipment malfunctions or potential hazards to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Certifications: Valid forklift operator certification (CDL not required but a plus).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely and spot discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well within a team.
- Software Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) are highly desirable.
