Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes, including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier selection
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate rates with 3PLs and ocean/air carriers
- Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems for real-time shipment visibility
- Resolve transportation disruptions through proactive problem-solving and contingency planning
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align shipping strategies with business objectives
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and international trade regulations
Qualifications
- 5+ years in freight forwarding or supply chain coordination
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Descartes preferred)
- Certified Customs Broker or CSCP designation strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation
- Exceptional negotiation skills with proven carrier relationship management
- Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret KPIs and performance metrics
- Strong analytical skills for route optimization and cost analysis
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority shipments under tight deadlines
