Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping operations including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier scheduling
- Optimize freight routes and negotiate contracts with ocean, air, and ground carriers
- Manage inventory tracking and warehouse coordination for seamless order fulfillment
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and provide proactive client communications
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and hazardous materials handling
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet client delivery timelines
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in logistics/shipping coordination with international exposure
- Proficiency in TMS/WMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and export documentation
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management preferred (CSCP, CLTD)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak shipping seasons
- Familiarity with New Orleans port operations a distinct advantage
