Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes including documentation, customs clearance, and carrier scheduling
- Monitor shipment status proactively and resolve transit delays
- Manage inventory control and warehouse logistics for optimal efficiency
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align shipping timelines with client needs
- Maintain accurate shipping records and compliance with DOT/FAA regulations
- Optimize freight costs through carrier negotiations and route planning
- Train junior staff on shipping protocols and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping coordination
- Proficiency with TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and international shipping regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency a plus
