Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic/international shipments via air, sea, and ground freight
- Prepare and process customs documentation (Bills of Lading, commercial invoices)
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS software and provide status updates
- Liaise with carriers, clients, and warehouse teams to resolve transit issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records and shipment databases
- Optimize routes to minimize costs and delivery times
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and customs regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years in shipping/logistics coordination role
- Proficiency with TMS systems (e.g., Descartes, MercuryGate)
- Expert knowledge of Incoterms and shipping documentation
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
