Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Monitor shipment status using TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and communicate delays or issues to stakeholders immediately.
- Liaise with carriers, trucking companies, and freight forwarders to negotiate rates and resolve logistical challenges.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate cargo handling and storage.
- Process freight claims and handle returns or exchanges efficiently.
- Update and maintain accurate shipping records and databases.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in TMS software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, HighJump) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods as required.
