Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs forms.
- Track cargo in real-time, communicating delays or issues to stakeholders immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and shipping logs.
- Negotiate rates with freight carriers and select the most cost-effective shipping methods.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper packaging and labeling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, shipping regulations, and import/export procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime during peak seasons.
