Responsibilities
- Coordinate Shipments: Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL) to ensure timely transit.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and commercial invoices accurately.
- Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot shipping delays, damaged goods claims, and carrier discrepancies quickly.
- Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of outgoing inventory and reconcile shipping data with warehouse systems.
- Carrier Relations: Negotiate rates with third-party logistics providers and maintain strong relationships with freight partners.
- Compliance: Ensure all shipping activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate daily logistics needs to the warehouse staff and sales team.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Software Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in data entry and documentation.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve logistical issues under pressure.
- Valid Driverβs License: Must be able to operate a company vehicle if required.
