Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory in the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks, railcars, and shipping containers while ensuring product integrity.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse managers and team members to meet daily shipping targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
