Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the accurate receiving, stocking, and organizing of inventory within the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Quality Control: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of stock movements and material handling activities.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to ensure seamless workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and comprehend safety charts, shipping orders, and inventory logs.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
