Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock control by moving, locating, and verifying items of value and importance.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, delivery receipts, and inventory reports.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in counting and documenting inventory.
- License: Valid driver's license is preferred.
