Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (including Counterbalance, Reach, and Pallet Jacks) to move, load, unload, and stack materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and verifying stock accuracy, ensuring all inventory is properly labeled and stored according to safety standards.
- Load Preparation: Prepare pallets for shipping, ensuring they are stable, secure, and ready for transport to ensure zero damage to goods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies, conducting daily pre-shift equipment inspections and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, delivery receipts, and inventory reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) and a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Reliability: Punctual, professional, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
