Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely handle and transport pallets and goods from trucks to storage areas using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and record freezer and cooler temperatures to ensure product integrity and compliance.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counting, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory logs.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and warehouse rules to prevent accidents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Packaging: Properly package and label items according to company standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in extreme cold conditions.
- Experience: Prior warehouse or cold storage experience is preferred but not required.
- Forklift License: Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including overtime.
- Communication: Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
