As a Forklift Operator at Apex Industrial Services, you will play a critical role in our logistics and supply chain operations. You will ensure the timely and accurate movement of inventory while adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, sorting, and storing materials, ensuring accurate inventory counts and organization.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Properly palletize and stack products to ensure stability and prevent damage during storage or transit.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations as required by management.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification or license (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions, read labels, and maintain organization.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Availability: Must be available for immediate start and flexible working hours.
