Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, load, and unload inventory safely and efficiently
- Inspect and maintain forklifts daily to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with warehouse team to organize stock in designated areas and maintain accurate inventory records
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times
- Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment processes
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to supervisor immediately
- Train new hires on proper forklift operation procedures when required
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-approved) or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year of prior forklift operation experience in warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and material handling best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions
