Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (PIT) safely to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Tag and label stock accurately to maintain precise inventory control and organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all aisles and exits are free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with team leads to fulfill orders quickly and efficiently during peak times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including pallet building and shrink-wrapping.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and follow safety charts and inventory lists.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
