Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload freight onto and off of trailers, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts.
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using handheld scanners and computer systems.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure stock is organized and accessible.
- Equipment Operation: Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure packaging meets company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse rules to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred (on-the-job training available for qualified candidates).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when scanning items and processing orders.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
