Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. You will ensure that all inventory is accurate and that the warehouse meets safety standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure 100% order accuracy.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records within the warehouse database.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move stock and materials throughout the facility.
- Receiving and Shipment: Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and ensure proper documentation is completed for all outgoing shipments.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other departments to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment center environment preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk on various surfaces. Good hand-eye coordination is essential.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and experience with barcode scanners or RF guns.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification (CDL Class A or B is a plus but not mandatory).
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
