Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to ensure timely processing.
- Pick and Pack Orders: Accurately fulfill customer orders by locating products in the warehouse and preparing them for shipment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in cycle counting to ensure stock levels match system data.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear and organized to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and ensure all items meet quality standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level roles.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and data entry.
- Forklift Certification: Prior forklift certification is a plus, but on-the-job training is available for qualified candidates.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for counting and weighing items.
