Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move pallets of merchandise using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, scan barcodes, and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems.
- Picking & Packing: Efficiently pick orders according to pick lists and ensure packages are securely packed for transit.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of obstructions to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- License: Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for long periods.
- Schedule: Must be available to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and strong attention to detail.
