Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from delivery trucks and shipping containers using appropriate equipment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tagging and sorting products as they enter the warehouse.
- Picking and Packing: Retrieve items from storage racks based on orders and carefully pack them for shipment to ensure they arrive damage-free.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and safe by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris regularly.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts (after certification), and hand trucks to move materials.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or errors and report any discrepancies immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and committed to showing up for scheduled shifts on time.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read labels, count items, and perform basic arithmetic for inventory purposes.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and safety compliance.
- Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with other warehouse staff and follow direct supervisor instructions.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
