Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move products to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Accuracy: Verify and count incoming stock against purchase orders, ensuring 100% accuracy and resolving any discrepancies immediately.
- Packaging & Shipping: Package and label items securely for shipment, adhering to all safety, quality, and carrier requirements.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- System Operations: Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track inventory levels and update stock statuses.
- Support Operations: Assist in physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and special projects as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50+ pounds repeatedly; comfortable working in various weather conditions (dock doors).
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and experience with handheld scanners or warehouse software is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
