Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Retrieve merchandise from shelves using scanners and handheld devices, verify item codes, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Packing & Labeling: Carefully pack items into appropriate boxes, ensuring proper protection and weight distribution, and affix correct shipping labels.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and stockroom organization to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and conveyor systems as required by daily workflow.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage and report discrepancies immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep workstations, aisles, and dock areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when scanning barcodes and picking orders.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Tools: Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn warehouse management software (WMS).
